I had tried few Joy Cosmetics Body Lotions before and was quite impressed with their quality. Guys they really have great body lotions that are worth trying. I was browsing over the skin care section at a local store and this yellow bottle caught my attention. I have got a habit of sniffing the skin care products before buying and the lovely smell gave me a green signal. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion.

Joy Honey & Almonds body lotion comes in a light yellow, sturdy plastic bottle with a dark yellow flip top lid. The packaging is neat and simple. The body lotion is available in different sizes- 40ml, 100ml, 300ml and 500ml. The lid shuts with a satisfying click and thus the bottle can be carried around in a handbag without any fear of leakage. The scent of the lotion is amazing. It is mild and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses. It is a pale white colored body lotion.

The texture of the body lotion is soft and smooth. It has fairly good consistency. It is neither too thick nor too runny. It is applied on the skin effortlessly.  It easily and quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving any residue behind. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturized. After applying the product I don’t feel the need to wash any remaining product from my hands. Although the lotion is lightweight I think it would suit dry skin as well. The scent is fresh and lingers with me for quite a few hours. I don’t feel the need to reapply the lotion throughout the day (I have normal body skin!) but if you have extremely dry skin I think you would need to reapply it at the end of the day. I avoid using sunscreen as the company claims the lotion contains natural sunscreen (BTW I am still wondering what natural sunscreen is!)

The lotion is extremely mild and gentle and is suitable for daily use. It does not cause any adverse effects to my skin. It is not effective for softening extremely hardened skin on the undersides of the feet. For that purpose you may try Nivea Nourishing Body Milk. My only grumble with the product is that you have to keep it upside down when you reach the bottom of the bottle (I know it can’t be counted as a con!).

Overall Thoughts:

Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion is a white colored lotion with a mild and pleasant smell. The texture is soft and smooth and applies effortlessly on the skin. It gets absorbed quickly without leaving a tacky feeling behind. It makes the skin soft, smooth and moisturized the whole day. Since it contains sunscreen I don’t feel the need to apply it separately. I shall definitely recommend it to everyone.
