NYX Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment ‘Nymph’ Review, Swatches & EOTD

I have always been fond of pressed eyeshadows as they are easy to use and do not create any mess. I thought using pigments really need lots of patience. But I was totally wrong and became numb (not actually!) when I came across NYX Chromatic Eyeshadows. Yes girls I love these pigments so much that I actually became addicted to it.  Today I am going to share my experience with NYX Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment in ‘Nymph’.

NYX says-
Eyeshadow pigment in metallic finish. As the name suggests, this highly-pigmented single color eye shadow offers a dramatic, metallic and iridescent glow that turns heads.

MBT says-
NYX Chrome eyeshadow comes in a transparent, cylindrical plastic jar with a black screw on lid. There is an inner plastic lid that prevents eyeshadow from creating a mess every time you open the main lid. The eye shadow name and number are printed at the bottom of the jar. The jar is quite sturdy and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag.

NYX pigments are concentrated loose powders that are easy to apply and highly pigmented. The best part is they are versatile and can be used in various ways. The texture of the eyeshadow is very soft and smooth. The powder is very fine and doesn't tend to create a mess in the jar. You can use pigments with either finger or a brush. I would advise you to avoid using a sponge applicator as it packs on too much product leading to wastage of product. I usually use an eyeshadow brush. I simply pour little eyeshadow pigment on the back of the inner lid, swipe the brush lightly and give it a good tap on the top of the jar before application. I then gently pat the color onto my lids. It is easy to blend without creating a fuss. It doesn't tend to fall out all over my cheeks unlike other pigments.

The eyeshadow is richly pigmented. With a light hand, it gives a beautiful subtle wash of color on my lids and by applying layers it gives a more appealing look. For a more dramatic and metallic look, this eyeshadow pigment can also be applied wet. It really intensifies the shade and makes my eyes stand out by giving that extra oomph. Since I have slightly oily lids, the eyeshadow tends to crease after 4-5 hours so I always make sure to use a primer underneath. The pigment, when used with primer, stays put on my lids for more than 8 hours without creasing.

'Nymph' is a beautiful rose gold color with a hint of peach. It has smooth, velvety and pearlescent finish. It is exactly as it appeared in the jar and instantly brightens up my face. It can be used for both day and night wear. To intensify the shade it can be used wet. It would look flattering on all skin tones.

As I had mentioned earlier that pigments are versatile and can be used in various ways.
      ·       It can be used as an eye liner or to give that extra effect to dull and light colored liners.
      ·       Add a small amount of pigment in a gloss or lip balm and apply gently on your lips for a glossy and shimmery look.
      ·       Mix pigments in a clear nail polish to create custom colors.
      ·       It can be used as a highlighter if applied with a light hand.

  1. Sane pinch! I have the same shade and I love it!!! I made a few holes on the plastic lid so that I can sift the powder out. Felt easier to control the amount
