NYX Rouge Cream Blush ‘Golden 10’ Review and Swatches

The best thing I love about cream blushes is that they look natural on the skin and are super easy to blend with no harsh edges. After using NYX Rouge Cream Blush in ‘Natural’ (Read my review here), I really wanted to try some other shades. I got the shade ‘Golden’ for me and believe me guys this is the one of the best blushers I have ever used. Today I am going to discuss my experience with NYX Rouge Cream Blush in ‘Golden’.

NYX says-
More delicious than peaches and cream? We like to think so. Our velvety smooth mineral Rouge Cream Blush offers a sheer wash of radiant color. The glorious payoff is dewy, sultry and long lasting. Available in 12 shades.

MBT says-
The packaging of the blush is fairly simple and easy to deal with. It comes in a black round compact with a transparent flip open lid which enables easy identification of the shade in case you hoard many from this range. The lid seems quite flimsy and sometimes I feel if I don’t carry it with proper care it might break. There is no mirror or applicator provided with the blush. Although the applicator would be useless since I use my finger but a mirror would be really helpful especially during travelling.

The texture of the blush is soft, smooth and creamy. It applies easily on my cheeks without being patchy. It blends effortlessly with no harsh edges. I only need the lightest touch of the blush to gain a natural and dewy look. I always use my finger to apply cream blushes but you can always use a stippling brush to achieve a more natural look. A small quantity of the blush is required to give a nice and natural look to the cheeks. The pigmentation of the blush is medium to build-able  For a naturally blushed effect, I sweep my finger lightly over the blush and dot it over my cheeks. I then blend it using fingers and finally using a fluffy blush brush. You can always build up the color to get the desired intensity. It feels incredibly light on my skin. The staying power is pretty awesome. It stays put on my cheeks for a good 5-6 hours without any touch ups and after that it starts fading evenly without being cakey. Since I have oily skin, I make sure to apply a layer of powder over it to avoid being greasy especially in summers. The blush provides dewy finish and imparts a lovely, healthy glow to the skin. It can be easily removed with wipes or cleanser. It neither irritates my skin nor breaks it out. Since it is a cream blush, I always ensure to sanitize my hands before using the blush for hygienic issues. A little goes a long way so the blush lasts for ages.

‘Golden’ is a peachy nude color with golden shimmers. The shimmers are very fine and subtle and are visible only when the light reflects on the cheeks. It can also be used as a highlighter. I usually use it in combination with Natural. It works as an excellent highlighting shade for me. It imparts a natural and healthy glow to my skin.  It is suitable to wear at both day and night time. It would look flattering on fair to medium skin tones. I am using this shade a lot these days and totally in love with it.
