Revlon Colorburst Lipstick ‘Chocolate 060’ Review, Swatches and LOTD

I love wearing glossy finish lipsticks in parties or night outs and was on a look out for it. There is no doubt I love wearing Faces Moisture Range lipsticks but I really wanted to try some other brand for a change. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick caught my attention and I got really impressed with its glossy finish and creamy texture. Today I am going to share my experience with Revlon Colorburst Lipstick ‘Chocolate’.

MBT says-

Revlon Colorburst lipstick comes in a matte black, quilted pattern casing with 'Revlon' written across the central ribbon. There is color representation on either ends of the lipstick which makes it really easy to identify the shade in case you hoard many from this range. The shade name and number are printed on a sticker at the bottom of the lipstick. The word 'Revlon' is imprinted on the bullet and makes it look classy. The lid snaps shut with a satisfactory click and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag. The packaging is fairly sophisticated and classy.

The texture of the lipstick is soft, smooth and creamy. The lipstick can be applied either using a lip brush or directly from the bullet. I am quite an impatient person so prefer applying directly from the bullet. It applies easily and glides effortlessly on my lips. It doesn't get patchy or blotchy upon application. It is quite moisturizing and I don’t feel the need to apply a lip balm underneath.  It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on my lips. It glides evenly across my lips without bleeding, feathering or smudging. My lips feel soft, smooth and hydrated. The lipstick gives smooth, even and glossy finish to my lips which I really like a lot. It doesn't accentuate the fine lines of the lips. The pigmentation of the lipstick is medium to buildable. I need to swipe it 2-3 times on my lips to get a true color. It can be easily built up to reach desired intensity. It provides opaque coverage and hides pigmentation on the lips well. The longevity of the lipstick is not great. It lasts for only 3-4 hours on my lips with eating and drinking. It transfers easily on glasses and cups (I avoid kissing my nephew on his cheeks while wearing this lipstick :D). It wears off evenly and doesn't leave my lips dry or patchy.  It is easily removed using a good makeup remover without drying out the lips.

‘Chocolate’ is a gorgeous chocolate brown shade with no shimmers or glitters. It looks glam on my lips because of its glossy finish and instantly brightens up my face. I love wearing it for night outs or parties and it doesn't make me look old. I would not say it makes my lips look fuller but it really defines them. This shade would look gorgeous on all skin tones.

Overall Thoughts:
Revlon Colorburst lipstick comes in a matte black quilted pattern case with a tight fitted lid. There is color representation on either ends of the lipstick for easy identification of the shade. The texture of the lipstick is soft and creamy and glides like a dream across my lips. It feels light and moisturizing on lips. The pigmentation is medium to buildable. The lipstick gives true color in 2-3 swipes with a smooth, glossy finish. The staying power is pretty average. It stays put on my lips for a good 3-4 hours after that it starts fading evenly. 'Chocolate' is gorgeous soft chocolate brown color with no shimmers or glitters. It is a perfect shade for evening parties and instantly brightens up my face. It would look flattering on all skin tones. I shall highly recommend it to everyone.

  13. I have these in Blush, Fuchsia and Ruby and really love this Revlon range as it keeps lips healthy. Most other lipsticks dry my lips out. On me these hardly stay 2 hours but I still like these. Browns look too stark on me but it's looking pretty on your lips.

    2. Every time i wear Blush, it comes out different on my lips. Initially it looked very nude to me but now at times it shines through like a true blush. It is the shade I mostly reach out to for daily wear :)
