China Glaze Nail Lacquer ‘Grape Pop’ Review & NOTD
I have always been attracted to purple and blue color. Every time I see a purple or blue nail polish, I immediately picked it up. Recently I got Lakme True wear nail lacquer 243 (purple one!) and My Face Cosmetics Lil Bling Chrome nail polish in Purple Haze and I love both these nail paints to the core. I find purple to be the perfect color for spring/ summers. Today I am going to discuss my experience with China Glaze Nail Lacquer in 'Grape Pop'.

CG’s Unique nail lacquers contain China Clay as a nail hardener, the same material that gives porcelain its shiny finish hence China Glaze. These glossy lacquers have lasting strength, durability and make nails gorgeous. These lacquers come with a 440-strand brush for a flawless application every time. Nothing says the perfect nail like China Glaze. All China Glaze colors are free of DBP, Toluene and added Formaldehyde.

China Glaze Nail Lacquer comes in a round, clear glass bottle with a sturdy black lid. The packaging of the nail lacquer is a bit heavy if compared to Lakme, Faces or OPI but can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The lid has slightly rough finish and enables a perfect grip when applying to the nails. The shade name, number and ingredients are mentioned at the bottom of the bottle. Overall the packaging looks classy and elegant. The brush is of fairly good size and the bristles of the nail polish are soft. The company claims it contains 440 strand brush. It applies smoothly and easily without brushing along the skin.
The consistency of the nail polish is creamy which is neither very thick nor very thin. It applies smoothly over the nails without streaking. It delivers a fairly good coverage with one coat and dries within a few minutes. I have the habit of applying two coats to get the utmost and exact color of the nail paint. With two coats, the polish lasts long and makes the color more vivid. The polish lasts for about 4-5 days with a top coat before showing signs of wear (I don’t do household chores!). It retains shine even after few days of application and doesn't look dull unlike few other glossy polishes. It is easy to remove and doesn't stain my nails despite being a dark shade (I always apply a base coat underneath whilst applying dark colors!).
'Grape Pop' is a lovely blue-toned deep purple with a glossy finish. It appears a bit light in the bottle than on the nails. It belongs to the Up & Away collection of China Glaze released in 2010. It is a fun and chic color but I fear it would look a tad dark for office wear. It would look flattering on all skin tones. It makes my hands look fairer and chic. It is the perfect shade for summers.

Overall Thoughts:
China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Grape Pop is a lovely blue toned deep purple color with a glossy finish. It gives an opaque coverage in just two coats without being streaky. It stays intact on my nails for a good 4-5 with a top coat before chipping. I really don’t have many complaints about it other than its price. It is definitely worth every penny and I shall highly recommend it to everyone.
