Every time I visit Faces stores, I find myself staring at their Sheer Radiance liquid foundation in Sheer Rose. This pinky foundation keeps telling (not actually :D) to pick it up and carry it home with me.

Me: You are so pink. You won’t look good on me.
Pinky foundation: Please please take me with you. I won’t betray you.

Ok so I applied it on my arms and it looked natural. Finally I bought it and I must say I am pretty satisfied with it. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Faces Canada Sheer Radiance Liquid foundation in Sheer Rose.

Faces Canada says-

For those preferring a light, matte-look formula. FACES Sheer Radiance Liquid Foundation blends uniformly and covers flawlessly over facial skin. It leaves a soft and velvet-like finish uniformly on skin and works as a sunscreen agent, antioxidant and skin-conditioning agent. Ideal for light to medium coverage.

Faces Canada Sheer Radiance Liquid foundation comes in a rectangular shaped clear glass bottle with a black screw top lid. It comes sealed in a plastic wrapper that ensures that the product has not been opened or used. The shade name and number are written at the side of the bottle. The lid is quite tight and the bottle can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The packaging is pretty simple and plain. The scent of the foundation is mild and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses.

The texture of the foundation is soft and silky smooth with a perfect consistency. The foundation is neither very thick nor very runny. It does not come gushing out of the bottle while pouring. You need to let it trickle. I always use my finger tips to apply foundation. Before applying this foundation, you must moisturize your face well else it would look patchy and dry on your skin. It blends really well on a moisturized skin without being patchy or cakey. It provides sheer, slightly dewy (company claims it to be matte but I don’t think so!) and flawless finish. It feels soft, smooth and silky on my skin. It gets blended into the skin well without making your face look like a plastered one.

The foundation gives light to medium coverage. It does cover up minor flaws well but if you have major blemishes then you do need a good concealer. I always make sure to set it with a powder. The staying power is pretty average. It stays put on my oily skin for a good 4-5 hours after that it makes my face shiny but not dull (yes it doesn't oxidize!). It doesn't transfer onto my cell phones, collar etc (I mean light brushing not scrubbing :P). It is easy to remove with a makeup wipe or remover. It works well on my sensitive skin and doesn't break me out.

'Sheer Rose' is a salmon pink toned shade that resembles the color of Lacto Calamine. It doesn't contain any shimmers or light reflecting particles. Since it is pink toned I make sure to apply little and don’t just glob it on. A little goes a long way with this shade. It looks natural and gives a light hint of pink to my face which I loved a lot (especially when I wear pink dress). It provides natural, slightly dewy and radiant look. I have yellow undertones but still it looks natural on me. It would look flattering on fair skinned beauties but I am afraid it might look ashy and unnatural on medium to dusky skinned girls.

Overall thoughts:

Faces Canada Sheer Radiance Liquid foundation in Sheer Rose is a salmon pink toned shade with no shimmers or glitters. It blends well on a moisturized skin without getting cakey. Although it provides light to medium coverage, it looks natural and fresh on the skin. It provides natural, flawless and slightly dewy finish. It stays put on my oily skin for a good 4-5 hours. It would look flattering on fair skinned beauties. Overall I am quite happy with this foundation and shall definitely recommend it to fair skin tones.
