Lacto Calamine Aloe Moisturiser Review

Lacto Calamine Moisturiser is the only moisturizer that has a permanent place on my vanity table. I have been using it since my school days. Nostalgic hun ;). As I have oily skin, Lacto Calamine Classic has been my staple product. I bought this aloe version in winters when my skin tends to become dry and flaky. I got Lacto Calamine Moisturising Face Wash free with this pack. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Lacto Calamine Aloe Moisturiser.

MBT says-
Lacto Calamine Aloe Moisturiser comes in a sturdy, green plastic bottle with a dark green screw top lid. Upon opening the lid, there is a wide mouth opening which I find really unpractical and unhygienic. It becomes really difficult to control the amount of product to be dispensed when the bottle is full. The lid and neck of the bottle accumulates a lot of dried gunk which looks quite unappealing. The lid of the bottle is quite tight and can be carried around in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The moisturizer is dusty rose in color (It is not a tinted moisturiser!) with a mild medicinal scent.

The moisturizer is fairly good in consistency. It is neither very thick nor very runny. It applies and gets spread easily over my skin. The scent disappears as soon as the moisturizer is applied. The moisturizer gets absorbed easily and hydrates my skin well. My skin feels soft, smooth, fresh and moisturized. As I had already mentioned, I use it only in winters. It moisturizes dry skin well without leaving dry patches but if you have extremely dry skin then it might not help. I once used it in summers when I ran out of Lacto Calamine Classic and it made my oily skin all the more oily and heavy. It acts as a good makeup base and it makes my makeup lasts longer than usual. It is considered to be a good sunscreen and I could say confidently that I never got tanned whenever I had used this as a moisturizer. It does help in preventing occurrence acne and pimples and combating existing ones. It doesn’t cause any adverse effects to my skin and makes scars and blemishes appear less red and inflamed.

Overall Thoughts:

It prevents occurrence of pimples and acne and combats existing ones. It acts as a good makeup base and makes skin look fresh for a long time. It acts as a natural sunscreen and prevents skin from getting tanned. I shall definitely recommend it to people with dry to normal skin.

  7. This review helped Megha. I had been longing to try this during the past winter but my local shop didn't procure it. Now I know it wouldn't have helped my very dry winter skin much. I love the rosy color though :)

  14. Nice review Megha. I like Lacto Calamine, but I felt that it was too dry while applying and left a pinkish tinge. So I do not use it anymore. Nice to know that it works so well for you.
