What I hate the most about summer season? My oily skin becomes all the more oily. With the invention of oil free lotions, I am happy that at least it helps in controlling oil for a good few hours. After being super happy (but got bored!) with Lotus Alpha Moist Oil Free moisturizer, I thought of trying some new oil free moisturizer. I asked the SA at the local store to show me few good oil free moisturizers and she insisted me to try the Garnier one. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Garnier Essential Care Daily Moisturising Lotion.

Garnier Essential Care Daily Moisturising Lotion comes housed in a cardboard box. The actual product comes in a thick white plastic bottle with a white screw off lid. Upon opening the lid, you would find a stopper with a hole that dispenses the right amount of lotion. The packaging is quite sturdy and the bottle can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without any fear of leakage or spillage.
The consistency of the lotion is quite runny and it comes gushing out of the stopper hole when the bottle is full. The lotion gets spread easily and absorbs almost instantly. It feels quite light on my skin and doesn't leave any greasy residue behind. The scent of the lotion is quite mild and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses. My skin feels soft, healthy and nourished. It gives a matte look to my skin which I like a lot as I have oily skin. I do have dry area around the mouth and this lotion takes good care of it. It keeps oil at bay for a good 4-5 hours after that my T zone starts becoming oily. As it is an oil free moisturizer, it acts as a good makeup base and doesn't feel heavy on my skin. I have not suffered any adverse effects whilst using it.

Overall Thoughts:
Garnier Essential Care Daily Moisturising Lotion is a great daily use moisturizer for oily skin. It is lightweight and doesn't make my skin shiny for a good 4-5 hours. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue behind. Most of the moisturizers break me out but this doesn't. I would definitely recommend it to people with oily skin.
