Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in Juicy Pink Review & Swatches

I have always been fond of Elle 18 since my teenage. Elle 18 products are of good quality, with really good and funky shades and is easy on the pockets. I love the ‘Juicy’ word they have added to their lip balms. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in ‘Juicy Pink’* which is priced at Rs 110.

Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm comes sealed in a cardboard box packaging to ensure that it has not been used or opened. The actual product comes in a clear, squeezable plastic tube with a black screw lid. It has a slanted tip that allows easy application of the lip balm. You only need to squeeze it lightly to get the product out of the hole. The packaging is extremely cute and girly. It is quite light and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag.

The texture of the lip balm is soft and smooth with good consistency. The lip balm consistency is almost like a lip gloss. It has a lovely, yummy fruity scent that hits the nose as soon as you apply it on your lips. It glides smoothly across my lips without getting patchy. It does not feel heavy or sticky on my lips unlike other lip balms. It is very moisturizing and I do not feel the need to use a separate lip balm underneath it. My lips feel soft, smooth and moisturized. The lip balm provides a nice, beautiful sheen just like a lip gloss does to my lips.

Juicy Pink is a beautiful bubblegum pink color that looks really tempting in the tube but it is not half as obvious when on the lips. It looks quite sheer with a very light hint of pink. It does not provide coverage to my slightly pigmented lips but does gives a natural look of the gloss to my lips. I really do not complain about the pigmentation as it is already mentioned by the company that it gives ‘hint of color’ to the lips. It can be used alone or over a lipstick to give a nice sheen to the lips. The lovely yummy fruity taste is an added bonus though I rarely lick my lips. The staying power is pretty average. It stays on my lips as long as I don’t eat anything. With few drinks, it stays on the lips but starts fading.

Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm contains Olive Oil and Jojoba Oil that keeps the lips nourished and moisturized. It also has SPF 15 that protects the lips from the harmful sun rays.

PROS:

CONS:

• If you have very pigmented lips then you might not like it as it gives a slight hint of color to the lips.

• Average staying power.

Overall Thoughts:

Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in Juicy Pink is a fantastic lip balm that provides moisturisation to the lips without being greasy or heavy. It looks almost clear on the lips and gives a nice sheen. Although the staying power is average, I really don’t mind carrying it in my bag and reapplying it. Overall I am really happy with this lip balm and would recommend it to those who are fond of clear lip balms.
