Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Natural Shampoo Lemongrass Review
Lemongrass is the only scent that makes me feel good in this scorchy summer. I had tried Soap Opera Lemongrass Soap and Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave in Conditioner and their scent makes me reach for them again and again. Aaranyaa is an Indian skincare brand that creates natural products and recently they launched sulphate free shampoos. Today I am going to review Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Natural Shampoo Lemongrass.

I was in search of sulphate free shampoos for regular use and when I saw Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Shampoo I so wanted to try it as I had tried lots of their products and all turned out really good on me. Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Shampoo comes in a sturdy, curvy shaped clear plastic bottle with an off white flip top lid. The packaging looks really attractive and refreshing due to the presence of yellow shampoo in it. The lid is quite tight and can be easily carried around in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The shampoo is light yellow in color and has lovely, refreshing lemongrass scent. It comes in three variants: lemongrass, lavender and coconut (Read more about it HERE).
The texture of the shampoo is soft and smooth with thin gel like consistency. I always make sure to dilute my shampoo to reduce the damage the chemicals may cause to the hair. Although the shampoo is sulphate free I still have the habit of diluting it with water. The shampoo is easily applied and gets spread to my medium length hair. Whenever I oil my hair, I require more shampoo than required though it happens with all the shampoos in my case. It creates rich lather and the scent does not tend to intensify. The lemongrass scent instantly makes me feel refreshed. It is easily rinsed away. After using the shampoo, my hair feels thoroughly cleansed (I apply oil before washing my hair!). Despite having essential oils in it, my hair does not feel soft and smooth. If I do not use the conditioner, it makes my hair dry and knotty at the ends. I have soft, silky hair with dry and frizzy ends. After drying my hair, my ends do not feel soft and seem quite dry. Despite containing many natural ingredients, it does not add any shine to my hair. My hair does not feel bouncy or voluminous which actually disappointed me. It does not leave greasy residue behind or any build up. The scent does not linger and fades away as soon as the shampoo is rinsed off. Though it makes my hair dry but I have not faced any adverse effects like hair fall or dandruff whilst using this shampoo. I had high hopes from this brand especially after reading sulphate free tag but it did not make my hair soft and silky.

PROS:

• Reasonably priced.
CONS:
• Makes my hair dry and dull.
• Does not impart shine to my hair.
• 100ml bottle does not last long.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Natural Shampoo Lemongrass totally disappointed me. It neither makes my hair soft and smooth nor does it add any shine to them. After reading sulphate free natural shampoo on the bottle I had high hopes from it but it totally failed in delivering the results. I would recommend it to you only if you have super oily hair as it does the cleansing part effectively!
