DIY Homemade Facial Toner for Acne Prone Skin

DIY Homemade Facial Toner for Acne Prone Skin
Today I am going to share with you an awesome recipe of homemade toner for acne prone and blemished skin (Tried and tested!). I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin so I usually stay away from alcohol based toners available in the markets. I have been using homemade toner by mixing green tea and apple cider vinegar since many years but recently I added lemon juice and lavender essential oil in it and believe me guys it is the best homemade toner I have ever tried. My skin is clearer and looks pretty healthy. It maintains the natural ph balance of my skin making it clear and acne free.

About ingredients:
Green Tea
Green tea has a lot of anti oxidants that fight free radicals that is one of the main causes of aging. It is an effective ingredient that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-acne properties and helps prevent damage caused by sun’s UV rays.

Apple Cider Vinegar
ACV has antibacterial and antiseptic properties that helps restore the natural ph balance of the skin. When your skin is ph balanced, you will have healthy and radiant skin.

Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil also has anti microbial, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties that fights against acne and keeps skin healthy.

Lemon Juice
Lemon juice has healing and toning properties. It helps cure acne, acne marks and prevents further breakouts.

DIY Homemade Facial Toner for Acne Prone Skin Recipe
¾ cup strong green tea (I use green tea bags available in the markets).
¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar (I got natural apple cider vinegar from the market. It was written natural on the bottle so I got it. It would be best if you use raw apple cider vinegar).
1 tea spoon lemon juice.
3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil (I use Iraya Lavender Essential Oil. Read my review HERE)

Instead of dipping tea bag in hot water, I simply pour a cup of water in a vessel and tore open the tea bag and add tea in it. Boil it. After the water starts turning its color to brown, switch off the gas and allow it to cool to room temperature. When the water cools down, simply strain it. Add apple cider vinegar, lavender essential oil and lemon juice in it. Transfer it to a glass bottle and store it in refrigerator. In order to use the toner, simply pour it onto cotton ball and apply it on clean face. You can keep the toner for about two weeks in the refrigerator.

It is one of the best toner I have ever used. It makes my skin clear and healthy within few days of usage. I tried so many creams, toners and lotions for acne marks but none of them worked. This homemade toner reduces acne marks to a great extent. I have not faced any pimple or acne since the time I am using this toner. Although it won’t control oil but it definitely works on acne and pimples. If you are allergic to lemon juice, I would suggest you to avoid adding it in this homemade toner. If you are suffering from acne then I would highly recommend you try this homemade toner for acne prone and blemished skin. It is indeed the best homemade natural toner for acne prone skin!
