If you are asked to stay in a lonely island with only one beauty product what would it be? Well for me it would be a lip balm. I really could not think myself without lip balm. My lip balm finishes in a month or so and I am always on a lookout for new ones. Recently I came across a new brand- Puro Body & Soul. Puro Body & Soul is an Indian skincare brand started by Niyati and Priyal to provide products that are naturally made without the use of harmful chemical ingredients and are cruelty free. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Puro Body & Soul Strawberry Lip Balm.

Puro Body & Soul Strawberry Lip Balm comes in a small, sturdy, cute and clear plastic pot with a screw top lid. As soon as the lid is unscrewed, you will find a sturdy plastic white inner lid that protects and keeps the lip balm in place (though the lip balm stays in place and does not melt!). Upon removing the inner lid, you will be greeted with a smooth, pink lip balm with a delicate aroma of strawberry. The scent is very refreshing and won’t bother sensitive noses. The pot is quite small and sturdy and can be easily carried around in a bag without any hassle. I have the ‘Strawberry’ flavor which is a clear lip balm and the scent fades away really soon. The packaging is pretty and really stands out among other lip balms. 

The texture of the lip balm is soft and smooth with slightly hard consistency. I do need to put some pressure when rubbing my finger over the surface of the lip balm. Though it feels slightly hard in the pot but it comes out with thinner consistency due to the presence of castor oil and glides smoothly over my lips. It does not feel heavy, greasy or waxy and feels smooth on the lips. It does not really get absorbed into my lips instantly but sits on my lips for few minutes and then gets absorbed. It actually did not bother me because the lip balm is really light and does not make you feel as if you have anything on. It keeps my lips soft, smooth, hydrated and supple for a long time (though I have the habit of reapplying it after every 3 hours or so!). It gives a nice sheen to my lips making them look pretty and healthy. It does not have a weird taste unlike other lip balms. I do feel the need to reapply the lip balm after taking heavy meals (though it happens with almost every lip balm!). I also love using it as a base for lipsticks. My only grumble with the lip balm is its tub/pot packaging. I need to wash my hands each time I use it so I rarely carry it with me when I am out of the house.

Puro Body & Soul Strawberry Lip Balm is a lovely lip balm that keeps my lips soft, smooth and hydrated for a long time. I am so glad that it is 100% vegetarian, natural and cruelty free. These days I am more into natural products and this has been added in my favorites. I wish it could come in tube packaging than in pot ones! If you are fond of trying new lip balms or are suffering from dry, chapped lips then I would definitely recommend it to you!
