I have used tonnes of conditioners but I must say Dove conditioners never failed to impress me. I had used 3 tubes of Dove Split End Rescue Conditioner (Read my review HERE) and I loved it to the core. This time I thought of trying different variant and bought Dove Damage Solutions Intense Repair Conditioner. Today I am going to review on the same.

Dove Intense Repair Conditioner comes in a pearly white sturdy plastic tube with the same colored flip top lid. The packaging is very appealing and soothing to the eyes. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be carried around in a hand bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The conditioner is white in color with a delightful smell.

The texture of the conditioner is rich and creamy with a good consistency. I take a small blob of conditioner and apply it to the length of my hair. It applies easily and spreads effortlessly over my hair. The nice aroma does not tend to intensify during the application. I leave the conditioner for about 2-3 minutes to get the most benefit out of it before rinsing. It is easily rinsed away without leaving any sticky residue feeling behind. It leaves my hair soft, silky smooth and shiny. My hair feels super silky to the touch. The conditioner has greatly improved the texture of my hair making them less prone to breakage specially while combing. The scent lingers with me for at least two days. The ends of my hair which are prone to dryness and roughness also feel soft, manageable and tangle free. I am able to brush my hair with great ease with absolutely no tangles. I really love the way it imparts softness and shine to my hair.

I really cannot talk of my experience with repair of damaged hair as I don’t use lots of chemicals or heat on my hair and they are not damaged. The conditioner contains Keratin Actives that repair damaged hair at cellular level. Since I apply the conditioner only on the lengths of the hair, I am not sure if it makes hair greasy or weighs them down when applied onto the roots.

Overall Thoughts:

Dove Damage Solutions Intense Repair Conditioner is a great conditioner for people with dry and rough hair. It softens the hair making them soft, smooth and silky. Te scent is pretty amazing and lingers for few days. The conditioner makes my dry ends soft and I lose only 2-3 strands of hair while combing. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
