Hair conditioner is a must have for me as I have dry ends that tends to get knotty and tangled. I was using Tresemme Climate Control Conditioner (Read review HERE) for the last 3-4 months. It suited my hair really well and now I feel it had stopped working on my hair. I got really happy when I saw hair conditioner in Patanjali store as I am fond of natural and herbal products. Today I am going to review Patanjali Protein Hair Conditioner.

Patanjali Protein Hair Conditioner comes in a sturdy, squeezable plastic tube with the same colored flip top lid. The packaging is quite light and can be easily carried in a bag while traveling. The lid is also quite tight so there is no fear of the conditioner being leaked or spilled. The conditioner is white in color with a mild and pleasant scent.
The texture of the conditioner is soft and smooth with slightly thick consistency. I take a coin sized amount of conditioner and apply it to the length of my hair. I prevent myself from applying conditioner to the roots of hair to avoid any greasiness (I don’t have frizzy hair but if you do, then you can apply it on the roots!). It gets spread easily and coats all my hair well. The smell is mild and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses. I leave the conditioner for about 2-3 minutes to get the most benefit out of it before rinsing. It is easily rinsed away without leaving any residue feeling behind. My hair feels soft, smooth and manageable. It does soften my hair but not much so if you have dry hair then it might not work on you. My dry ends feel soft but not what I get from other conditioners like Dove and Tresemme. It does not impart a healthy shine to my hair which is really disappointing. I feel it works great on normal to oily hair well.

PROS:
• Makes hair soft, smooth and manageable.
• Controls frizz.
• Mild and pleasant scent.
• Good consistency.
• Easy to rinse off.
• Does not leave greasy residue behind.
• A little goes a long way.
• Herbal conditioner.
• Reasonably priced.
• Easily available.
CONS:
• Does not impart shine to my hair.
• Does not soften the hair much.
• Might not suit dry hair.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall I find Patanjali Protein Hair Conditioner quite an average conditioner. It does not give any fabulous results. My hair feels soft, smooth and manageable but it does not impart any shine to my hair. My dry ends sometimes get tangled as it does not soften the hair much. I would recommend it to people with normal hair.

DeleteMy hair is always dry after using a protein treatment. I now follow my protein treatments with a moisturizing treatment to counteract the dryness. I have never heard of this brand before, but it sounds like a good conditioner.
ReplyDeleteKeisha xo

ReplyDeleteThis conditioner is not for dry hair!
DeleteI use a shampoo that the parlor lady suggested, but I was looking for a conditioner as the one she has is quite expensive. heard good things about patanjili beauty stuff. excited to see this review but theres no use in buying something that doesnt work well, right. do you know any other alternatives in herbal shampoo-conditioner things for dry and thin hair.
ReplyDeleteP.s this is the first time I saw your blog and its amazing that you take time to reply to every comment. also your reviews are to the point (thumbs up)
