Lotus Herbals has always been my favorite brand. Its products are mild yet effective not to mention their makeup range is amazing too especially their Purestay lip glosses (I have reviewed them HERE and HERE). Today I am going to review Lotus Herbals Purestay Long Lasting Face Powder SPF 20.

Lotus Herbals Purestay Long Lasting Face Powder comes in a pink cardboard box packaging with all the information written over it. The actual product comes packed in a beautiful satin pouch and the compact is square shaped, mirror finish plastic case with a flip open lid. There is a large mirror (exactly the size of the lid!) inside that I find pretty useful while traveling. It is very clear and built in mirror comes handy while traveling. A soft applicator sponge is included in the compact that is soft and easy to hold (I rarely use it as I love using my Wildrose Magnolia Powder Brush!). There is also a small thin plastic protective cover for the compact powder. The packaging is classy, girly and elegant. It looks very expensive and definitely makes heads turn.

The texture of the pressed powder is very soft and smooth. It applies smoothly and feels light weight on my skin. It blends effortlessly without getting patchy or cake-y. It provides medium coverage. It lightens up my blemishes, reduces pores and redness but it cannot be used as an alternative to concealer. I usually apply powder over foundation and it offers a silky finish giving my skin a natural, flawless appearance. The pressed powder keeps my skin oil free for a good 6-7 hours without making my oily skin look all the more oily and dull. As my skin has geared towards drier side in winters, I find my skin stays fresh for the whole day. It is easy to touch up and it does not go cloggy. It provides a lovely matte finish to the skin. The powder can be easily removed from the skin with a makeup remover and does not break it out. It comes in many different shades so there is something for every skin tone. A little goes a long way with this powder and you do not need to layer it again and again. I chose Royal Ivory for me as it matches my fair skin tone perfectly.

Overall Thoughts:

Lotus Herbals Purestay Long Lasting Face Powder is a lightweight compact powder with excellent long lasting coverage. It looks natural on my skin tone and does not tend to get cake-y. It controls oil for a longer time. The packaging is super pretty and looks extremely pretty on my vanity table. I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!
