I had never been fond of coral lipsticks but after trying this coral tinted lipstick from Clio I am actually wearing it almost every day. Clio is a Korean brand that specializes in providing pretty cosmetics to its consumers. Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip is a new NEON TRIC collection that consists of all neon colors that acts as a soft lip stain on lips and glow neon in the dark. Their vivid color formation is based on safflower components which were used as natural lip stains by Korean geishas. Today I am going to review Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip in Electric.

Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip comes in a black cardboard box packaging with all the information written over it. The actual product comes in a very chic smooth black tube with ‘Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip’ written all over it. It actually looks unique and is definitely a head turner. The tube is incredibly light and looks luxurious on my vanity table and of course in my bag. It is functional and easy to use. The lid is quite tight and clicks conveniently when placing back on the lipstick. It is safe to carry the lipstick in the bag. I totally loved the logo of the brand. There is a sticker at the base of the lipstick that depicts the shade name and number so it would be easy for you to identify the shade in case you hoard many from this range. The color of the writings on the tube and the cardboard box also depicts the color of the lipstick. I love keeping my lipstick in its pretty cardboard box. The lip color does not have any noticeable taste or scent.

The formula of the tinted lip is very soft and smooth. The lipstick can be applied either using a lip brush or directly from the bullet. As it is a tinted lip, I prefer applying it on its own. It applies easily and glides effortlessly on my lips. It doesn't get patchy or gloopy upon application. It does not feel waxy or sticky on my lips. It is quite moisturizing and I do not feel the need to apply a lip balm underneath it though I apply it anyways. If you have extremely dry lips, make sure to exfoliate your lips and apply a good lip balm underneath it else it will highlight your dry patches.  It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on my lips. It glides evenly across lips without bleeding, feathering or smudging. My lips feel soft, creamy and hydrated. The lipstick gives smooth, even and matte finish to my lips which I really like a lot. It doesn't accentuate the fine lines of the lips. The pigmentation of the lipstick is sheer to medium build-able so you don’t need to be precise as you do for darker lipsticks. I need to swipe it 2-3 times to get noticeable color on my lips. It will work for you even if you have heavy pigmented lips. The longevity of the lipstick is quite good. It stays put on my lips for a good 5-6 hours with light meals and drinks. With heavy meals it fades off but leaves a beautiful tint behind. When I apply it and blot, reapply it and blot I find it stays for few more hours. Even when the color has worn off, my lips do not feel dry or uncomfortable. 

Electric is a neon warm coral color with satin matte finish. It looks lovely on lips and instantly brightens up my face. It claims to glow in the dark in the blue LED lights that is the USP of this lip color (I have not tried it yet under LED lights!). It can be worn at any time of the day without making you look over the top. Whenever I wear this shade, I make sure to keep my eyes neutral and face glowy. It is the best coral shade I have used till date. It will look flattering on all skin tones. Even if you have pigmented lips, it gives nice coverage by layering it few more times. After applying the lip color, I make sure to apply it again using a lip brush to get that soft color. Though it looks super bright and bold in the tube but it comes out quite soft and wearable on lips. Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip comes in 3 different shades so you choose any according to your taste. It is actually a lip stain that works as a lipstick too.

Overall Thoughts:

Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip is one of the best lip stain I have used. It is actually a mix of lip stain and lipstick. It glides smoothly across the lips and is quite moisturizing. It has sheer to medium build-able pigmentation and stays for a long time on my lips. Even if it fades, it leaves a beautiful tint behind. It does not make my lips dry or patchy. Electric is a gorgeous soft coral shade that looks lovely on lips. My face actually brightens up whenever I use this shade. I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!
