Besame Cosmetics Brightening Violet Powder Review & Swatches
I have always loved makeup and skincare products that give brightening effect to my skin. Though I prefer pressed powder over my foundations but this brightening powder instantly grabbed my attention. Besame Cosmetics is a US based vintage makeup brand. Today I am going to review Besame Cosmetics Brightening Violet Powder.

The packaging of Besame Cosmetics Brightening Violet Powder is the gorgeous packaging ever. It comes in a violet cardboard box packaging with all the information printed over it. The actual product comes in a small, vintage yellow plastic pot with a red screw top lid. The packaging is truly vintage and elegant with lovely designs. Though it looks small but it contains a lot of product and will last really long. As soon as you open the lid, you will see a soft puff or applicator with a gorgeous red holder behind. The puff is very soft and does its job perfectly. There is a flip top lid in between puff and sifter that prevents powder from sticking to the puff each time you move the pot. The sifter barrier is sealed with a sticker. Pull off the sticker and you are ready to use your brightening powder. The sifter avoids spillage of the powder and keeps it in place. The brightening powder is pale violet in color that looks natural on skin.
The powder has ultra fine formula that blends like a dream. I use the applicator or puff and gently press it onto the powder and tap it lightly all over my face and neck after applying foundation. Make sure you use only a small amount of powder as less is more with this product. I then take a large powder brush or kabuki brush and buff away extra powder on my skin. It blends away easily without giving a whitish or cakey look. It has a very mild violet scent that is hardly noticeable. It gives a lovely natural look to my skin. It provides matte finish with a brightening effect. It does not contain shimmers and gives a fresh look to my skin. It sets my makeup well and does not make my skin oily for a long time (It definitely controls oil!). It really does brighten up your face! It is very finely milled so you do not see the violet color on your skin. I also love using it to brighten up my eye area. Though it is quite sheer but it lightens my marks and blemishes well. I think it will suit all skin tones except dark skin as it might cause a grayish cast.
