In summer season, I always prefer face lotions that are light but come with SPF. I really do not like applying sunscreen each time I step out of the house for a short duration. While strolling in Big Bazaar, I came across the Biotique section and chose to try Biotique Bio Morning Nectar 30+ SPF Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Face Lotion (Quite a big name!). I had previously tried Biotique Almond Oil Soap (reviewed here) and was totally in love with it. Today I am going to review Biotique Bio Morning Nectar 30+ SPF Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Face Lotion which is priced at Rs 199.

Biotique Bio Morning Nectar 30+ SPF Ultra Soothing Face Lotion comes in a sturdy, semi opaque, off white plastic bottle with a dark green screw top lid. Upon opening the lid, you will find a wide mouth opening which at first I find pretty unpractical but the texture of the lotion is slightly thick and does not gushes out. The lid of the bottle is quite tight and can be carried around in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The moisturizer is off white in color with very strong floral scent. Though the scent is pleasant but still I find it fairly strong.

The lotion looks very thick in bottle but it comes out with good consistency. It applies and gets spread easily over my skin. The scent disappears as soon as the lotion is applied. As it is super hot here, it feels heavy the moment I apply it on my oily-combination skin. Though the company says it is meant for all skin types but I feel it great for dry skin only. It hydrates my slightly dry cheeks well but it feels heavy as if it is blocking my pores. My T-zone starts getting oily and greasy after an hour. I tried applying it minimally but the results were same. I have used it only for a week and fortunately it did not break me out. I think it will be perfect for people with extremely dry skin.

• Might suit dry skin perfectly in winter months.

• Reasonably priced.

• Travel friendly packaging.

CONS:

• Makes skin oily and greasy after an hour.

• Feels heavy the moment you apply it on skin. 

• Strong scent.

Overall Thoughts:

Biotique Bio Morning Nectar 30+ SPF Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Face Lotion is a total disappointing product for my oily to combination skin. Though it hydrates my skin well but it feels oily and greasy after an hour. I think it will perfectly suit dry skin. I would not recommend it to people with oily and combination skin!
