I confess I really do not have steady hands in applying liquid eyeliners. I prefer pencil eye liners, gel eye liners or felt tip pen eye liners. Recently Maybelline launched a new eye liner ‘Maybelline The Colossal Liner’ which is actually a pen liner. Previously I had used L’Oreal Super Liner Instant Impact Felt Liner and quite loved it. Maybelline The Colossal Liner looks just like a pen. It comes in a sleek black tube with yellow writings on it. As soon as you pull off the lid, you will find a long, thin and pointed felt tip applicator which is very fine and sturdy yet soft to the touch.

The liner is easy to hold and feels comfortable in my hands. It is available in only one shade Black which is very deep and dark jet black. It glides easily across the upper and lower lash line without dragging or pulling the skin. It creates a flawless and true line of color in a single swipe. It allows me to define my eyes effortlessly and create thin and thick lines as per my choice. It sets into a water proof and smudge-proof finish after application. It dries super fast and does not feel heavy or sticky. You can create numerous looks with this eye liner. It looks great on all eye colors. You can create thick and thin lines or winged lines as per your convenience because you have full control over the pen. The staying power is pretty awesome. It stays put on my slightly oily lids for the majority of the day without fading or smudging. It remains dark and glossy throughout the day. It doesn't cause any adverse effects on my skin. The liner can be easily removed using olive oil or an eye makeup remover.

Maybelline The Colossal Liner is great for beginners or those who love liquid liners for the high pigments and precision but find them a bit overwhelming. It helps in creating eye looks easily and quickly.

Overall Thoughts:

Maybelline The Colossal Liner is one the BEST eye liners I have tried. It is jet black liner that glides smoothly over the lids. It gives a glossy finish and creates a true line of color with just a single swipe. It stays on my slightly oily lids for the longest time and does not tend to smudge or fade. I am totally in love with this liner and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to everyone!
