Aster Mixed Fruit & Charcoal Handmade Soaps |
I have always been fond of natural and handmade soaps. They not only
smell amazing but feel gentle to the skin. Recently I came across a
wonderful brand Aster that makes luxury soaps in lots of variants and
scents. I got 2 variants- Mixed Fruit soap* and their newly launched
Charcoal Fairness soap*. They are priced at Rs 150 and you can buy online HERE and HERE.

Aster soaps come wrapped in a clear plastic wrapper with all the information printed on stickers. As soon as the soap is unwrapped, you are greeted with lovely, mild and soothing scent of essential oils. Charcoal soap has prominent scent of charcoal fragrance oil which is very calming and pleasant. Mixed Fruit has mild and refreshing scent of mixed fruit fragrance oil. Mixed Fruit & Charcoal Soaps are of orange and black color respectively.
Aster soap has a glossy finish and looks luxurious in my soap dish. It creates soft and rich lather and can be used on its own or with a body scrunchie. These days I have gone super lazy so I use it on its own ;). The scent does not tend to intensify and feels nice and refreshing. It gets easily rinsed away and does not leave greasy or sticky residue behind. It feels mild and gentle on the skin. It removes all dirt and grime off the skin. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, smooth and moisturized. Although it does not make my skin dry and rough but I have the habit of applying body butters anyways. The lovely fragrance tends to linger with me for a good few hours. It is very mild and does not bother me as I am not a fan of highly fragranced products.
Though Charcoal Fairness soap neither moisturizes nor dry out my skin so if you have very dry skin then I would recommend you to try mixed fruit or other variants. Charcoal Soap is great if you suffer from acne or pimple on your skin. It detoxifies the skin and makes skin clear and even. Though I do not have tanning or uneven skin issues but it claims to make skin fairer by reducing acne and marks.
The soaps do not turn soggy or messy in the soap dish which is an added bonus. They do not contain parabens and are cruelty free. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using this soap.
PROS:
• Lovely and refreshing scent.
• Moisturizing.
• Create soft and rich lather.
• Charcoal Fairness soap reduces acne and detoxifies the skin.
• Do not melt quickly.
• No allergies or skin irritations.
• Paraben free.
• Inexpensive. They are currently on discount.
CONS:
• Charcoal soap might not suit very dry skin.
Overall Thoughts:
Rating: 4.8/5
My Tips:
• Always keep the soap in a soap dish after usage to avoid getting it soggy.
• Apply a good body lotion immediately after shower to keep your skin soft and smooth.
