To avoid looking OTT, I make sure to keep the rest of my makeup neutral with bright lipsticks. Before starting the review, I would like to inform you that Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques is an organic makeup brand and does not use parabens, chemicals and fillers.

The eye shadow duo comes in a simple clear plastic case with a flip top lid. The shade name and number are written at the bottom of the case. There is no mirror or brush provided with the eye shadow so make sure you carry them in your bag whilst traveling. 

Since it is a pressed eye shadow duo it contains two colors- cappuccino and pearl. Cappuccino is a gorgeous light brown color with satin finish. I love using it as an all over lid color and it makes my eyes look absolutely pretty and wonderful. I use the Pearl shade, which acts as highlighter, at the inner corner of my eyes and to highlight the brow bone. The pressed eye shadow duo is available in many shades so there is something for everyone!

The texture of the eye shadow is soft, incredibly silky and smooth. Though it is in pressed form but it feels like a cream eye shadow while application. Before applying the eye shadow, make sure you apply an eye shadow primer to make it last longer. I simply take an eye shadow brush and sweep it twice onto the eye shadow. It glides easily across the eye lids and does not look patchy or blotchy. It does not tend to fall over my cheeks that I absolutely love. The pigmentation is medium to build-able. With the primer underneath, I get true shades with just few applications. Girls, do invest in a good primer. It really does make a difference in both pigmentation and longevity. I use Faces Metaliglow!

The staying power of the eye shadow is pretty amazing. It stays on my slightly oily eyelids for the majority of the day without creasing. It is easy to remove with olive oil or a good makeup remover.

CONS:

• No integrated mirror or applicator provided with the eye shadow. Though I do not need applicators with my eye shadow as most of them are pretty useless but mirrors are really helpful when you are traveling!

Overall Thoughts:

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this eye shadow duo. It is the BEST neutral eye shadow I own and it looks stunning when paired with bright lipsticks. If you are searching for a beautiful all over lid eye shadow for every day wear then you MUST definitely check it out! Added bonus: great “staying power” too!
