I had few conversations with the author Dane Cobain and he is such a down to earth person. I could not believe someone so talented and creative like him can be so polite! When I got the book, I was instantly impressed by the look and feel of the cover. It feels super smooth and nice to the touch. The cover itself speaks of the death and suspense. 

The book revolves around a priest Father Montgomery who is in his 60’s. It shows the cruel faces of “Angels” who are in the form of light and kills anybody who think are sinners and leave behind traces of ash or badly burned body. They speak of themselves as the judge and love peoples’ fear of death! They claim their existence being a mix of science and religion. When Jones, a young businessman and friend of Father Montgomery, got attacked by Angels, Montgomery takes the initiative to save Jones and the world. 

The book is very well written and hard to put down. It had me captured from the very first page. Each chapter is quite short and filled with suspense leaving you wondering what might happen next. The last few chapters are very gripping and there are so many suspense and twists until you finally discover the ending. Will Father Montgomery and Jones stop the evil acts of Angels? Will Montgomery’s ultimate sacrifice makes the Angels realize of their deeds?

Overall Thoughts:

No Rest for Wicked is a short and enjoyable read. It has suspense in every chapter. It is fast paced making it hard to put down book! I would highly recommend this short story book to any fan of thriller books!
