Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup Review

Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup Review
I got Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup in my May Fab Bag as this was the first time I was going to use a mousse foundation. I have always loved cream to powder foundation and this mousse foundation from Essence is a mousse to powder foundation! Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup has a mousse texture that gives your skin natural looking matte finish!

Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup costs Rs 499 for 16g!

The mousse makeup comes in a clear glass jar with a beige screw top lid! It is quite heavy but can be easily carried around in a bag due to its small size! I have the shade #04 Matt Ivory which is a medium beige color with a cool undertone! I wish it had more yellow undertones to match my skin perfectly! It is a bit lighter shade for my skin!

Swatch of Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup
I simply take the mousse using a spatula and warm it up behind my hand! I then apply it all over my face and blend it using Real Techniques Stippling Brush! This brush really helps in blending out the product well without giving you a cake-y or patchy look! I had tried using my fingers and other foundation brushes but the look is not natural and I can notice I have something on my face!

PROS:
- A little goes a long way!
- Feels super light on the skin.
- Application feels like a mousse but settles to powder finish!
- Medium to build-able coverage!
- Can skip powder application!
- Matte finish!
- Does not oxidize and keeps skin fresh for a long time!

CONS:
- Makes dry patches visible. Make sure you moisturize your skin well! I do not think it's great for dry skin!

Overall Thoughts:
Essence Soft Touch Mousse Makeup is a good choice for people with oily to combination skin! Though the shade is not my exact match but with proper blending, it makes my skin look natural and healthy!

Rating: 4.5/5

  1. Even though I don't have dry skin I feel like this might settle into all my pores.

    1. No dear it does not settle in pores! Try using a stippling brush!
