Silisponge Silicone Sponge Review ft Tosave |
There are basically 3 shapes of silicone sponges and I chose Style 1 for me! It looks like the Molly Cosmetics Sili Sponge! It feels very delicate and has gold dust inside the sponge. The gold dust makes the sponge look very pretty! It comes in a zipper lock bag and it is very easy to store even when you are traveling!
Silisponge Silicone Sponge Review ft Tosave |
To apply the foundation, I take a small amount on the back of my hand and apply it using the silicone sponge! You really need a good practice to get used to this sponge! It does not absorb any foundation because it is nonporous but it takes a lot of blending! It is like slapping the sponge and slathering the foundation on your face! Just dab and blend! Also make sure you moisturize your face really well else it will give a patchy finish! I also fold it a bit to apply the foundation on the smaller areas like the sides of the nose, under the eyes and in between the eyebrows!
The silicone sponge gives you full coverage as it does not absorb the product. I feel it works best with cream products!
PROS:
- Feels soft against the skin!
- Gives better coverage than other sponges!
- Works great with cream based foundation, blushes and bronzers!
- Does not lead to wastage of product
- Easy to clean, You can either clean it with water or soap or makeup wipes!
- Very cheap!
- The sponge looks pretty with gold powder inside!
- Tosave provides worldwide shipping!
CONS:
- Takes a lot of time to blend!
- Difficult to use than beauty sponges!
Overall Thoughts:
Overall, I am not much impressed with Silisponge Silicone Sponge! I will be using it only when I need full coverage! I am always in a hurry to do makeup so I do not think I shall reach out for it often!
Have you tried silicone sponge?
