Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Foundation Review

I have been using Urban Color products for more than a month and I must say I am super impressed with them. I had already reviewed their eye liner and today I am going to review Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Foundation. If you are a makeup lover, you would know how foundation play a major role in your overall look. I am very much particular about my foundations so let’s see if this foundation by Modicare impressed me.

Price- Rs 1199 for 25ml
You get Modicare products through Modicare's consultants or at Modicare distribution points or Modicare success centres or Modicare lifestyle centres!

The Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Foundation is for those people who love natural yet radiant look. If you are a fan of dewy looks then you will surely love this foundation. It comes in 3 shades and I got the 'Beige Light #2’ which is perfect for fair to medium skin tones. The shades are perfect for Indian skin tones but still I feel there is no shade for dark skinned beauties!

The foundation comes in a beige plastic pump packaging that is very easy to use and tote it around. It dispenses the right amount of foundation. I need only one pump for both face and neck. Always remember less is more when it comes to foundation! Though it can be applied using a finger or any foundation brush but I love the finish it gives using Real Techniques Stippling Brush. It gives natural finish using fingers also. It gives even coverage and imparts a gorgeous glow to my skin. My skin literally brightens up whenever I use this foundation. It looks absolutely natural and gives an inner glow like look! It does not contain shimmers or glitters that I am totally grateful for! I have acne scars on my skin and any kind of shimmers or glitters look horrible on me but this foundation does its job perfectly! It hides all the minor imperfections but if you have acne or pimple then you would need a concealer. It gives a youthful look to the skin due to the presence of hyaluronic acid.

How do I use it?
I simply apply dots of foundation all over my face and neck and blend it using fingers or brush. I then apply Urban Color Compact to set it nicely.

PROS:
  • Travel friendly packaging.
  • My skin looks natural upon application.
  • Gives a natural and youthful glow.
  • Pump packaging is easy to use.
  • Applies smoothly and blends easily.
  • Gives medium to medium heavy coverage.
  • Non comedogenic so can be used by acne prone skin like me.
  • Suits all skin types.
  • Free from parabens, mineral oils and fragrance.

CONS:
  • Limited shades.
  • You need concealer to pimples, acne and dark circles.
  • Available only through consultants!

Overall Thoughts:
Overall, I really loved Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Foundation. It is lightweight and can be used as an everyday foundation. It gives a natural and youthful glow to the skin. Currently my skin is on the drier side and I loved how healthy and moisturized my skin looks upon the application of this foundation. I feel it would work well on oily skin as well as it is not heavy or oily.

My Tips:

  • Always moisturise your face well before applying a foundation.
  • For better coverage, apply with a dabbing motion using a dry beauty sponge.

  3. I remember using modicare long back in my school days, that time makeup was not part of their line... availability is issue for such brands as you can buy these only from consultants.
