Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Compact Review

If you are like me who loves natural looks then you got to try Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Foundation and compact. These 2 products have become my favorite and I literally can’t thank Urban Color for introducing them to me. Compact is needed regardless of the skin type to extend the life of your makeup but if you have super dry skin then you must go for loose powder. Today I am going to review Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Compact that I have been using for mire than a month.
Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Compact

Price: Rs 899 for 9g
You get Modicare products through Modicare's consultants or at Modicare distribution points or Modicare success centres or Modicare lifestyle centres!

The packaging is light

Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Compact comes packed in a black cardboard box packaging with all the information printed over it. The actual product comes in a matte, black plastic compact with a black flip top lid. The lid firmly closes when not in use and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag. The shade name, price and date are written at the base of the compact. As soon as you open the lid, you will find a small round mirror attached to the lid. The mirror is quite good in size and comes handy while traveling. A soft applicator sponge is included in a separate compartment with holes for it to breathe. It is soft and easy to hold. There is also a small thin plastic protective cover for the compact powder. The packaging is really pretty and looks classy.

Ingredients list

The texture of the compact powder is very soft, silky and smooth. Instead of using the sponge applicator, I use blush brush to apply compact all over my face. I do like the sponge applicator provided with the compact and use it whilst traveling. It does not pick up heaps of powder and feels really soft on the skin. The scent of the powder is almost null. I am actually not fond of using fragranced makeup on my face so it’s perfect for me.

The compact comes in 3 shades- Ivory Light, Beige Light and Soft Shell. Beige Light #2 is perfect for my fair skin tone and does not tend to make me look like a ghost or give whitish cast. It has yelIow undertones. I use this compact powder after applying foundation and it sets it really well. It applies smoothly and feels light on the skin. It blends across my skin perfectly without giving me a patchy or cake-y look. It provides light to medium coverage. It lightens up my blemishes but it cannot be used as an alternative to concealer. It makes my skin look natural, even and healthy. It gives a matte yet not a dry look to my skin. As it is cold here, my skin has gotten really dry but it didn’t make my skin drier or look patchy. It contains hyaluronic acid that keeps skin looking healthy. My skin stays fresh and nice for a good 5-6 hours. I will update the post when my skin will turn oily in summer season. The compact powder can be easily removed from the skin using a good makeup remover.

PROS:
  • Gives natural finish to the skin.
  • No streaking of makeup.
  • Infused with hyaluronic acid.
  • Smooth matte finish.
  • Skin stays fresh for a very long time.
  • Keeps shine under control.
  • Suits all skin types.

  • Smoothes fine lines and wrinkles and reduces the appearance of pores.
  • Not chalky at all.
  • UV filters for sun protection.
  • Dermatologically tested.
  • Non comedogenic.
  • Not tested on animals.

CONS:
  • A bit pricey.

Overall Thoughts
Urban Color Expert Firm and Lift Compact is a lightweight setting compact that gives natural and shine free look to the skin. It does streak out the makeup and looks smooth and even. It contains hyaluronic acid that smoothes the fine lines and wrinkles and reduces the appearance of pores. Highly recommended to everyone.

My Tips:

  • Use blush brush for easy breezy application.
  • Wash the applicator after every 2-3 uses.
  • If you have dry skin make sure you moisturise your skin really well before applying the powder.
  • If you have good skin, you can use it alone.

Do you think compact powder is necessary? Which one do you use?

Stay Pretty & Loads of 💓!
