Chocolite Scrub Review

If you love chocolate skin care products then I highly recommend you to go and buy it. Scrubs have always been must haves in my skin care regimen. Be it face or body, I always make sure to scrub the skin once a week to keep the skin smooth, healthy and young. Today I am going to review my favorite scrub Chocolite Scrub* that I have been using for the last 2 months.

Chocolite Scrub comes in a sturdy, brown, squeezable plastic tube with a screw top lid. The packaging is quite simple yet soothing to look at. It can be easily carried around in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The scrub is coffee brown in color with walnut shell powder and cocoa powder in it. It smells of chocolate which is super yummy and lick-able. The smell reminds me of chocolate cake.

The texture of the face scrub is soft and smooth with creamy consistency. The scrub is easily dispensed through a hole in the tube. As soon as the scrub is dispensed out, you are greeted with a lovely yummy chocolate scent. It is indeed pleasurable to use.  It can be used for both face and body but I use it as a body scrub as it contains comedogenic ingredient Cetyl alcohol that may break out acne prone skin. If you have oily, dry or normal skin then you can use it as a face scrub as the granules are very gentle yet effective on the skin. 

I take a small amount of scrub and gently massage it onto my slightly wet skin in small circular motions for a minute or so. Make sure not to scrub roughly. It spreads effortlessly across my skin unlike other scrubs. The scent of the scrub is adorable and pleasant and makes me feel having a spa treatment. The granules do not feel abrasive and seems effective on the skin. It feels very soft and smooth on the skin. It is easily rinsed away with warm water (I make sure to splash cold water after warm water to close pores!) with no greasy or sticky feeling. My skin feels soft, smooth, clean, refreshed and thoroughly exfoliated. It is very effective in exfoliating the dead skin and makes my skin soft and visibly brighter. I have normal body skin so I don’t feel the immediate need to moisturize my skin. The scrub is meant for all skin types.

I haven’t faced any adverse effects such as irritation, redness or breakouts whilst using this scrub. The mild yummy aroma of the scrub lingers with me for quite a long which I really like a lot. I love using the scrub once a week and I love how polished my skin looks. This scrub instantly makes me feel good and gives a spa kind of experience.

PROS:

• Yummylicious fragrance. It’s clearly written on the tube that it’s not edible!
• The scrub is mild yet very effective.
• Removes all dead cells, sebum and dirt and makes skin bright, healthy and rejuvenated.
• Can be used as both face and body scrub so you don’t need to keep 2 different scrubs.
• A little goes a long way.
• Does not leave sticky or greasy residue behind.
• Reasonably priced as it lasts really long.
• I am happy that it comes in tube instead of a tub.
• Made in India!

CONS:

• Might not suit as a face scrub for acne prone skin but you will love it as a body scrub for sure. Mark my words. It has super yummy fragrance.

Overall Thoughts:

Overall I am totally in love with Chocolite Scrub. It not only smells delicious but makes skin so healthy and bright. It removes all dead skin cells and the skin looks so smooth and radiant. A highly recommended scrub by me!!!!

My Tips:

1. Use it once a week.
2. If you are using it as a face scrub, use it twice a week.
3. Never rub too hard.
4. Follow it up with a good body cream.
