Upakarma Pure Kesar & Badam Rogan Oil Review

Upakarma is a pretty new brand for me and what I loved about this brand is that it’s products are based on Ayurveda. Kesar and almond oil has always been staple products in my household. I love kesar and add in sweets, milk, dry fruit powder and baking. I use pure almond oil on Anaaya’s hair and I have been loving the results. So when I got Upakarma Kesar* and pure sweet almond oil*, I was pretty excited to try them out. I have been using both these products for 2 weeks and here are my opinions about them. Upakarma Ayurveda is the fastest growing ayurvedic brand in India!

Let’s start with Upakarma Kesar.

Upakarma Ayurveda Kesar ₹501 for 1g

The kesar comes in a small glass jar which in turn is safely kept in a small cardboard box packaging. All the information is printed over the box and the bottle. The saffron strands are long and not broken that I particularly liked. To test the purity of saffron, I put few strands of saffron in water and let it sit for 10 minutes. The Color does not release too fast and the strands were still red. 

The fragrance of the kesar is wonderful and smells pure. I mostly use kesar in milk, kheer, halwa, baking and dry fruit powder. Kesar can be used in almost all sweets. Saffron can also be used as skin lightening face pack by mixing it in either milk or almond oil. 

Upakarma Badam Rogan Sweet Almond Oil ₹435 for 100ml

Upakarma Badam Rogan Sweet Almond Oil is edible and can be taken with milk. I particularly use it on my daughter’s hair and I loved how shiny, black and healthy her hair looks. It is 100% pure and I can tell you by the smell. It comes in a glass bottle with all the information written over it. The bottle is securely packed in a cardboard box packaging. It also comes with a dropper that helps you in deciding quantity in case you are taking it internally. It can also be used in reducing dark circles or puffiness as almond oil is the best oil when it comes dark circles.

• Sweet almond oil makes hair smooth and reduces hair fall.
• Oil is pure and edible.
• Can be used on skin.
• Great for reducing dark circles.
• Kesar has many benefits and can be added in milk and sweets.
• It can also be used for skin to make it look healthy and young.
• Cruelty free!
• ISO certified company and the products are manufactured in GMP certified manufacturing units!

CONS:

• A bit pricey.

Overall Thoughts:

Overall I am very happy with  Upakarma Premium Kesar and sweet almond oil. They both are pure and works effectively. I love using sweet almond oil on Anaaya's and my hair and love how soft my hair feels. It also reduces hair fall. I would love to try more of their products and would recommend these products to everyone. I am really impressed with their tagline 'Balance your Life'.

My Tips:

1. Please handle the products carefully as the packaging is made of glass.
2. Consume kesar in moderate quantity as it is hot in nature.
3. Sweet almond oil can be mixed with other oils.
4. If you are using it for dark circles, make sure you massage the oil with light hands.
