Samer Khouzami Instant Blur Compact Powder Review

It’s been a long time since I did a makeup review. After Holi, I don’t remember I used makeup except kajal. I have been using Samer Khouzami Instant Blur Compact Powder* for the last 3 months and I find myself reaching out to this compact powder more as it suits perfectly for my dry, acne prone skin. Samer Khouzami is an Italian makeup brand owned by a famous makeup artist! Compact powders are staple in my makeup kit as they not lock everything in for long wear but also blur the imperfections. Here is my honest review on Samer Khouzami Instant Blur Compact Powder.

Price- $45/₹3000 approx BUY ONLINE

Samer Khouzami Instant Blur Compact Powder comes in a white cardboard box packaging with golden edges. The actual product comes packed in a circular shaped, mirror finish plastic case with a flip open lid. The lid closes with a snap. It seems there is magnetic enclosure in the case. The packaging is classy and elegant. It looks very expensive and definitely makes heads turn. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the compact. As soon as you open the lid, you will find a small round mirror attached to the lid. The mirror is quite good in size and of good quality and comes handy while traveling. A soft applicator sponge is included in a separate compartment with holes for it to breathe. It is soft and easy to hold.

The texture of the compact powder is very soft and smooth. It applies smoothly and feels light on my skin. It blends effortlessly without getting patchy or cake-y. It provides medium to full coverage. It lightens up my blemishes, reduces pores and redness but it cannot be used as an alternative to concealer to conceal your pimples or acne. It works like a charm on marks and redness. I usually apply powder over foundation and it offers a silky finish giving my skin a natural, flawless appearance. This compact powder is like a powder foundation that blurs the imperfections. The compact powder keeps my skin oil free for a good 6-7 hours without making my skin look dull or dark.

As my skin has geared towards drier side, I find my skin stays fresh for the whole day. It is easy to touch up and it does not go cloggy. It provides a lovely dewy matte finish to the skin. The powder can be easily removed from the skin with a makeup remover and does not break it out. It comes in lots of different shades so there is something for every skin tone. A little goes a long way with this powder and you do not need to layer it again and again. I chose SK 150 for me as it matches my fair skin with warm undertones perfectly.

Overall Thoughts:

Overall I love Samer Khouzami Instant Blur Compact Powder. It makes my skin look so healthy and dewy like my own but better skin. It does not dry out my skin and blurs out any imperfections. Even if I don’t use foundations, it looks so good on me. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

My Tips-

  1. Make sure you wash the sponge before using it for the first time.
  2. Using it with a powder brush gives better results.
  3. Make sure you moisturize your skin well before starting your makeup.
  4. Choose the right shade.
  5. The best way I found to apply compact powder perfect is to brush around the powder and tap the excess before applying it on your skin.
