Reading Kingdom Review

Last month I got a chance to review a kids learning website- Reading Kingdom*. I usually don’t give Anaaya much screen time except for her online classes. After browsing through the website, I really loved the concept and animation of the website. Reading Kingdom not only teaches to read but also to count so I particularly use this website to teach counting to Anaaya.

Price- I got 2 of their programs to try

Counting Kingdom $49.99 for a year

Reading Kingdom $149.99 for a year

Anaaya is currently in LKG standard and very good in counting but there are many times when she  gets confused in higher numbers. When I got to know about Counting Kingdom, I thought of teaching counting through some colorful and animated program. Fortunately Anaaya loved counting done through counting kingdom.

Counting Kingdom is an online introductory math program that teaches the basic concepts of maths. It helps the kids to understand, recognize and count from 1 to 10. It gives so many exercises to the kids of the same number that the kid becomes expert in recognizing and counting. It also teaches to count the objects in a group. They give so many activities to do like how many objects are there, give me these number if objects, count and write etc. There is also an activity that helps in memorizing the numbers. It’s like a memory game. In the last level, they teach kids about addition and similar concepts. We are currently on level 2 so I haven’t gone through the level 3 yet. If you want me to describe, do let me know. I will check and let you know about it. I love how colorful visuals they have included in the program. The voice and the animation is kids friendly and not over the top. It also introduces the shapes and lots of activities related to it.

Reading Kingdom is an award winning program that teaches kids aged 4-10 on how to read and write. Anaaya is 3 years and 10 months old but as she knows all the sounds of the letters, I am slowly going and taking one letter a day. Anaaya doesn’t know how to operate keyboard and mouse so I let her do it on iPad or sometimes I click it for her. She tells me and I click it for her.

PROS:

  • Very engaging.
  • Colorful visuals and animations.
  • Lots of activities with one concept. It makes sure that your kids actually learn.
  • Clears the basic foundation of maths.

CONS:

  • Takes a little while to go to the next activity.

Overall Thoughts:

Overall I am very happy with Reading Kingdom. It not only teaches counting and reading but also clears the basic concepts of the kids. There are also other programs in the website. I really loved it for my toddler and would highly recommend all mommies to check it out.
