I bought this shampoo after reading so much hype about this shampoo on YouTube and Facebook groups. I got this last summer season as my scalp was getting very oily and my hair used to get limp the nest day. I had tried L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo for about a month and here is my honest review on it.
Price-₹69 for 82.5ml BUY ONLINE
L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo comes in an opaque light green color plastic bottle with a dark green flip top lid. All the information is written on the back of the bottle. The shampoo is safe to travel with and won’t create a mess in your bag.
The shampoo is especially meant for oily scalp and hair. The brand says it washes off excess oil on the scalp and hair without drying it out. The shampoo is pearly white in Color with lots of shimmer kind of particles in it. The smell is very refreshing and gives a good feeling in the shower.
The texture of the shampoo is soft and smooth with good consistency. It lathers richly and cleans the hair in one go.
How do I use L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo?
I simply take a teaspoon of shampoo in a bowl and dilute it with some water. I then lather it gently using my fingers all over my scalp and hair. After rinsing it off, I follow it up with a conditioner. I used it twice a week.
My hair feels super clean and oil free but it dries my hair. I got more tangles and frizz. Above all, my scalp gets oily after 2 days that indicates it was drying out my scalp. I used it for a month but it did nothing other than making my hair dull and lifeless. BTW I switched to my super fav L’Oréal Serie Expert Density Advanced Shampoo. It literally improved my hair a lot.
PROS:
- I actually loved the color of the bottle.
- The fragrance is lovely.
- Removes oil and dirt off the scalp and hair.
- Makes the hair squeaky clean.
- Available in many sizes. I bought the smallest one to test.
- Can be used as a clarifying shampoo once in a while.
- Might suit people with very very oily hair and scalp.
- No hair fall using it.
CONS:
- Dries my hair.
- Makes my hair dull and frizzy.
- My scalp gets oily pretty soon.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo didn’t suit my hair. It neither suited me nor my husband who has normal and perfect hair. I would not recommend it to anyone.
